BWPS News ArchiveBack to News ArchiveRaptor Shoot Wednesday, September 27
There will be two lighting setups using studio strobes, so there is no need for a tripod. In fact, a tripod will just slow you down. When it is your turn to shoot, try some different croppings for your image. You might try one full-length shot, one medium-length (such as the shot of the kestrel to the right), and a nice tight close-up. Birds are great models, but they don't exactly turn your way when you call them. You can increase your chances of a great shot by being focused and framed and all ready to shoot when the bird does turn toward you. The event begins at 7:30PM and goes until about 9:00PM. There is a $15 per person shooting fee to cover the cost of getting the birds. |
