Winter 2011
The Winter competition was held on February 7, 2011, hosted
by the Greater Lynn Photographic Association . Boston West
Photographic Society tied for Second Place with Greater
Lynn, each earning 99 points. First Place went to the Cap
Cod Viewfinders with 103 points.
Cumulative standings for the year have us in a three-way
tie for Fourth Place with New Haven and Gateway with 186
points each. Greater Lynn is in the lead with 191.
Boston West had two Second Place images (each with 26 points).
Congratulations to Mike Goodman for Crane in Late Light
and Ed McGuirk for Loon Family Dinner.

Spring 2011
The Spring competition is the final competition of the
season and Boston West Photographic Society has won Second
Place in Class A just one point out of first place! The
judging was hosted by the Camera Club of Central New England
on April 7, 2011. 12 clubs competed in Class A Nature. The
top four clubs were Cape Cod Viewfinders in First Place with
98 points, Boston West finished Second with 97 points, and
there was a two-way tie for Third between Charter Oak
Photographic Society and Photographic Society of Rhode
Island, each with 95 points.
The top three clubs this year in Class A Nature are: Cape Cod Viewfinders in
First Place with 287 points, Boston West Second Place with 283 points, and New
Haven Camera Club in Third Place with 275.
Congratulations to
Jeff Slovin for his 2nd Place image Breakfast Time, Mike Goodman for
his 3rd Place image Harrier Looking, and Frank Forward for his HM
image Frog20. Congratulation also to the entire club for being Second Place in
all of New England this year in Nature! And a big thank you again to all the
members who allowed us to use their images to represent the club.
