April 2008

The last PSA Open Digital Competition was held at Pilchuck Camera Club in Camono Island WA. Boston West came in first with a score of 75 points. Great Falls Camera Club came in second with a score of 73 points and Forest Grove Camera Club came in 3 rd with a score of 69 points.

Congratulations to Jim Brady for receiving 2 HM are for his images Snowy Owl and Down To The Wire. Congratulations to Ed McGuirk for receiving an HM for his image Red Fox in Snow-2 and to Ron Todd for receiving an HM for his image Now Take A Deep Breathe.

Boston West finished in 1 st place for the year in PSA Open Digital Competition with a total of 295 points. Great Falls Camera Club finished 2 nd with 284 points and Forest Grove Camera Club came in 3 rd with 282 points.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this an outstanding year in PSA for Boston West. Thank you all for letting our club use your images in the competitions.

February 2008

In the PSA February Open Digital Competition which was held at Merrimack Valley Camera Club, Boston West came in first for the third competition of the year. BWPS had a score of 77. Portland Photographic Society came in second with a score of 73. Greater Falls Camera Club and Englewood Camera Club tied for third place with a score of 72 points. Greater Lynn Photographic Association received 70 points.

Congratulations to our three ribbon winners. Frank Forward received an Honorable Mention with a score of 13 out of 15 for his image Mom and Pups-2. Ed McGuirk received an Award of Merit with a score of 13 for his image Horseneck Sunrise. Debbie Guyer also received an Award of Merit with a score of 14 for her image Wolf Snarl.

PSA has one more competition in April at Pilchuck Camera Club in Camono Island in Washington. As it stands now, BWPS is in first place with a total score of 220 points from the three competitions this year. Greater Falls Camera Club is in second place with 215 points. Forest Grove Camera Club is in third place with 208 points. Greater Lynn Photographic Association has a total of 199 points.

December 2007

In the second PSA color projected image division competition held at Hexham and District Photographic Society in Northumberland, England, Boston West came in first with a score of 71 points. Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia and Great Falls Camera Club tied for second place with a score of 70 points. Cape Cod Viewfinders Camera Club came in 3rd with a score of 67 points and Greater Lynn Photographic Association came in 7th with a score of 61 points.

Special congratulations to Ron Todd for receiving an Honorable Mention for his image Wet Ride and to Mike Goodman for also receiving an Honorable Mention for his image Ice Climber #1.

In the PSA Digital Open Competition, Boston West came in 6th place with 72 points. In 1st place was Image Makers with a score of 80 points. In 2nd place was Forest Grove Camera Club with a score of 78 points and in 3rd place was Glendora Camera Club with a score of 75 points. Greater Lynn came in 9th with a score of 68 points.
