2007-2008 NECCC Interclub Results
Pictorial Electronic Competition

Spring 2008
The Spring competition was held on April 2, 2008, hosted by the Greater Bridgeport Camera Club and the Connecticut Association of Photographers. Thirty-three clubs participated.
The judges for the competition were:
- Jim Dionne is a member of the New Haven Camera Club, the Castle Craig Camera Club, and the Connecticut Association of Photographers. Jim is also on the Executive Board of the New England Camera Council.
- Hazel Meredith is a member of the Greater Bridgeport Camera Club and the Huntingdon Camera Club. She is the Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Photographers and is Editor of the Camera Club column in the PSA Journal.
- Harold Insley is a former member of the Greater Bridgeport Camera Club, engineer, inventor, and well respected photographer.
Boston West Photographic Society tied for Second Place with Stony Brook Camera Club, each with 96 points. First Place, at 99 points, was a tie between New Haven CC and Springfield Photographic Society. Note that NECCC counts the place by score, not by the number of clubs above.
Congratulations to Ian Dicker, Jim Brady, and Ron Todd on their Honorable Mentions!
For the full year, Boston West finished in third place overall with a score of 263 points.
The Best in Show photograph was Splash Down by Michael Marceau of the Photographic Society of Rhode Island, which earned 27 points.

Winter 2008
The Winter competition was held on February 13, 2008, hosted by the Upper Valley Camera Club. The
competition was directed by Winsor Hunter with assistance from Phil Sargent and Jerry Berggren.
Twenty-seven clubs participated in the Nature section and 34 clubs participated in the Pictorial section.
The judges for the competition were:
- Tamara Renzo is Director of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen gallery in Hanover
- David O'Neill is owner and manager of Northlight Digital in White River Junction, Vermont
- Fred Lappin is a retired architect with 35 years experience in the design of hotels, airports, schools, housing and transit systems.
In the Pictorial division the winning clubs were: Gateway 85 1st, Springfield 84 2nd, New Haven 83 3rd and Portland 83 3rd. Boston West was close behind with 82 points and tied for 5th place with Assabet Valley and Nashoba Valley.
Congratulations to Jim Brady for his third place finish with Turn Seven and to Ed McGuirk for his Honorable Mention for Lost Lake.
After two competitons, we are in a two-way tie for 8th place with 167 points. New Haven is in 1st with 179, and Nashoba Valley and Stony Brook are tied for 2nd with 174 points.

Fall 2007
The Fall competition was held on November 28, 2007, hosted by the Merrimack Valley Camera Club.
The competition was directed by Charlie Burke with assistance from Paul Parisi, Eric Redard, Pamela
Green, Sally Gaffney, and Gary Hoyt. Twenty-five clubs participated in the Nature section and 33 clubs participated in the Pictorial section.
The judges for the competition were: Gail Goden, MNEC; Ron Morse, MNEC and Henry Weisenburger.
The three winning clubs in the Pictorial section were: Stony Brook in 1st place with 99 points, New Haven in 2nd place with 96 points and Photo Society of RI in 3rd place with 94 points.
Boston West finished in 14th place with 85 points and tied with Assabet Valley. Congratulations to Jim Brady on his Honorable Mention.
