2006-2007 NECCC Interclub Results
Electronic Competition
In the current club season NECCC started an electronic interclub competition, i.e. digital images. The format is similar to the Pictorial and Nature slide interclubs that NECCC sponsors. That is, there are three competitions during the year, one in the fall, one in winter, and the final one in spring. One difference, other than the medium, is that there is only a single class. As more clubs enter this form of interclub, there will probably be a division into two or three classes like in slides.
- Spring 2007 - Hosted by Gateway Camera Club, MA
- Winter 2007 - Hosted by the Upper Valley Camera Club, Hanover, NH
- Fall 2006 - Hosted by the Photographic Society, RI

Congratulations to Erik and David for their Honorable Mentions!
Thank you to all who have allowed your images to represent our club at the NECCC interclub competitions this year. Next year's competitions will be here before we know it, so get some great shots this summer so we can give those top three clubs a run for their money!
Winter 2007
The Winter competition was held February 15, 2007, hosted by the Upper Valley Camera Club in Hanover, NH. There were 27 clubs competing and the judges were Phil Sargent, Merlin Lacy, and David O'Neill.
Boston West earned two Honorable Mentions, one by Bill Northup and the other by Erik Samwel, who each were awarded 22 points. You can tell this was a low scoring competition with a number of images scoring 12 or 13. Despite our HMs we only managed to come in 6th place which leaves us in a two-way tie for 5th place.
The top scoring clubs this competition were Merrimack Valley 89 points and 1st place, Charter Oak 87 points, and Photographic Society of RI 83 points and 3rd place. Greater Lynn and New Haven tied for 4th with 82 points.
The top three scoring images earned 27, 26, and 25 points, and HMs ran from 21 to 24 points. Congratulations to our own Bill Northup for his image "Bee" and Erik Samwel for his image "Julia Lying Down" on their Honorable Mentions!
